Chess Camp : A Strategic Experience
Our latest holiday camp was a chess extravaganza ! In partnership with the Happy Pawn Chess Club, Coach Sébastien, and teacher Elisa, we delved into the fascinating world of chess. Beyond just a game, chess is a powerful educational tool. It fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, patience, and strategic planning – essential skills for children. Through themed activities centered around chess, our young learners not only had a great time but also honed their cognitive skills. From creating their own chess game to mastering complex strategies, our future grandmasters thrived in this intellectually stimulating environment.
Yard sale : Building a Sustainable Community
Our recent yard sale was not just an opportunity to declutter but also a testament to our community spirit and commitment to sustainability. By participating in and supporting this event, our community showed that we are more than just a school - we are an educational community. Together, we promoted sustainability by giving new life to old items, reducing waste, and advocating for reuse. Beyond the financial aspect, the flea market strengthened social bonds, creating a sense of belonging and camaraderie among the children, parents, and the team at La Petite Ecole. Our class photo session was a heartwarming moment, immortalizing the innocence of childhood and the camaraderie among our students.
