A UNIQUE CYCLE
La Petite Ecole has adopted the curriculum of the French Ministry of Education. Early years school is the place and time where essential initial learning occurs: exploring helps the child to become autonomous and acquire new skills and knowledge. When your child starts preschool, they start “Cycle 1”, which lasts 3-4 years. This unique cycle is fundamental to the success of all.
By the end of Cycle 1, preschool pupils will have acquired knowledge in several areas. The 4 main areas of learning consist in:
Bilingual Track
The French–English Bilingual Track offers a unique immersion in two languages from an early age. Based on the French National Education curriculum, it allows children to learn daily with both a French-speaking teacher and an English-speaking teacher. This alternation naturally encourages communication skills, cognitive flexibility, and a genuine openness to languages and cultures from around the world. Open to French-speaking children, international families, and non-French-speaking children, the bilingual section welcomes every child into a warm, multicultural, and play-based environment. Children grow with confidence in a caring setting where learning happens naturally through exploration, interaction, and the joy of discovery.
English Track
The English Track offers a fully English-speaking international pathway based on the British EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum. This programme places a strong emphasis on oral language development, early literacy and phonics, mathematical reasoning, as well as a creative approach to learning through exploration and discovery. Teaching is delivered entirely in English while also incorporating the discovery of the Thai language and local culture. Children also grow in an environment that encourages hands-on experiences, practical activities, and nature-based learning.
